Château L'Arnaude Provence Rosé 2019
A delicate and versatile Côtes de Provence Rosé.
Château L'Arnaude's 'Premium' Rosé. Delicately fruity and floral aromas on the nose. The wine has a good balance of freshness and acidity where notes of peach and citrus fruits combine well. A very refreshing wine that pairs well with fragrant and spicy Thai curries, as well as more classic combinations such as scallops, langoustines and roast chicken with thyme.
Jean-Jacques Bréban’s family have been sourcing high quality wines in Provence for over 70 years. However, it was only in 2019 that he bought his own estate… the French call it a coup de cœur - it was love at first sight when he saw Château L’Arnaude. A thirty-hectare estate, with twenty of them dedicated to vines, and most importantly, the terroir to produce truly authentic Provençal wines. At its heart stands a simple bastide, a seventeenth century country house, that owes its existence to a decree by King Louis XIV of France, to provide hostels for holy pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago - it seems fitting that it now offers a small number of stylish rooms for modern travellers seeking more “terrestrial” comforts.
With a careful programme of re-planting and care in the cellar, Jean-Jacques and his family are producing top quality rosés to drink with food, fresh zesty whites and reds that merit a little cellaring, intent on paying homage to the Provence region they adore.
