Chateau de Campuget '1753' Viognier 2016/17
An elegant Viognier with hints of orange marmalade, apricot and ripe tropical fruits.
The Château de Campuget winery was established in 1942 and is considered on the foremost top-quality estates in Costières de Nimes. The Château itself was built in 1753 and at the same time the very first vines were planted, prompting the 1753 range of wines which mark this historic date. Campuget produce wines with real integrity, finesse and wonderful expressions of terroir from traditional Rhône varieties in vineyard conditions nearly identical to next-door Côtes-du-Rhône.
An elegant Viognier with hints of orange marmalade, apricot and ripe tropical fruits. Precise, crisp and balanced on the palate, with a roundness of generously structured fruit and a long, elegant finish.
