Whispering Angel Cotes de Provence Rosé 2018
“This is a sublime vintage for Whispering Angel." Matthew Jukes
Chateau d’Esclans’ is located on an exceptional site, on elevated land near the Gorges de Pennafort, twenty kilometers northwest of the ancient Roman city of Frejus on the Mediterranean coast. The first traces of the chateau’s site date back to Gaullist times during which its location served as a lookout point to spot intruders coming by boat into the Gulf of Frejus. Now owned by Sacha Lichine, this Rosé is renowned as one of the most stylish, elegant roses the wine world has to offer. A must have in every fashionable watering hole in the Cote d'Azur, this is something to get out around your friends and enjoy!

“This is a sublime vintage for Whispering Angel building on its magical reputation by adding an otherworldly texture to the already ravishing perfume and taste. Indeed the flavour is the embodiment of its name like never before." Matthew Jukes
“A blend of Grenache, Rolle and Cinsault. It certainly has bags of fruit in the aroma, not only tangy citrus peel but small red berries and a delicate more floral and rose-hip perfume. In the mouth it is bone-dry, with precision to the fruit and a sense of both substance and finesse." Tom Cannavan’s Wine-Pages.com
Pale salmon in colour, this 2018 is delicate and fresh with plenty of crisp strawberry fruit and a long finish. The new benchmark for Provence rose. Perfect with peppers, garlic dishes, oily fish. “The French word ‘Caves’ doesn’t literally mean caves, but usually refers to wine cellars – and this world famous rosé comes from one of the finest in the world…” Matthew Jukes.
