Chateau Charmail Haut-Medoc 2016 150cl Magnum
"A gratifying Haut-Médoc" - 94 points, Decanter Magazine
A blend of 38% cabernet sauvignon, 36% merlot and more or less equal proportions of cabernet franc and petit verdot, the 2016 Charmail is full and vibrant with distinctive black-fruit character, polished tannins and an attractive savoury finish. Enjoy now through to 2028 - in fact in magnums it should last a little longer.
Chateau Charmail has recently been elevated to Cru Bouregois Exceptionnel status and is located in the appellation of Haut-Médoc. Its vineyards stand on the banks of the Gironde River, which makes for milder temperatures and shelters it from really hard frosts in the winter, thus protecting the vines from serious damage.
