Buglioni L'Afrodisiaco Passito Rosso 2017 50cl
Traditionally paired with plain pastries and biscuits, it pairs particularly well with good dark chocolate. Made from rare local Oseleta varietal.
Dark ruby red colour. Intense and elegant aromas of ripe fruit, raisins, black cherries and plums in alcohol. Sweet and warm aroma, velvety and round.
Serving at approximately 12°C or "cellar temperature". Open the bottle at least 1 hour before serving.
Buglioni vineyard started out as the purchase of a family home surrounded by vineyards in 1993 and has now became a serious contender in the production of excellent Valpolicella wines. Originally the family produced wine for their friends and family but in time a real passion took hold and turned a hobby into a successful business making outstanding wines.
Made from hand-harvested, selected bunches, at the end of October for the rare laocal varietal, Oseleta. Slowly the grapes are left to dry out until November to concentrate the flavours and sugars.
The intense, rich wine from the shrivelled berries is aged in tonneaux for 6 months and then a further 12 months in steel tanks. It is then left to mature for at least 6 months in the bottle before sale.
