BU RE Superiore Valpolicella Classico 2019 by Buglioni
The BU RE is an excellent value option from Valpolicella - juicy and bright. Slurp exclusive.
Deep ruby red colour. Distinct and elegant aroma of ripe red fruit and black cherry, with scents of spices and vanilla. Round in the mouth, velvety and harmonious. Extremely easy-drinking Valpol.
When Alfredo Buglioni bought the old farmhouse of his dreams in 1993 in the heart of Valpolicella Classico, he hadn’t considered the prospect of becoming a winemaker. However, the property came with a vineyard planted to local red grape varieties and the call of the vines was too much to resist.
Buglioni made its first wine in 2000 and has since released many vintages, some of which have scored 90-plus points in Wine Spectator tastings.
BU RE was born from the desire of the Buglioni Family to create a line of contemporary wines that meet the tastes of those who wish to approach the wines of some of North East Italy's revered regions, such as Valpolicella, in a simple and casual way.
Although BU RE wines are approachable and easy-drinking, they must follow the strict family traditions that are followed in the production of other Buglioni wines: they must be made using grapes from their own vineyards and must be vinified and aged in their own cellars. BU RE Superiore Valpolicella Classico 2019 by Buglioni is made from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina grapes and is aged in oak casks for 6-8 months and left to mature for a further 9 months in the bottle.
