Zorzal has been dedicated to the production of high-quality wines since 2008. Zorzal belongs to the Michelini brothers, who are outstanding in their passionate, personal leadership in the work of the vineyards and winery.
Gualtallary, where Zorzal wines come from, is in one of Argentina's most outstanding vine-growing valleys, the Uco Valley. Gualtallary is situated at 1,350 metres above sea-level in the highest vine-growing zone in the Province of Mendoza, at the foot of Tupungato volcano, one of the highest peaks in the Andes. This zone is characterized by its combination of altitude, alluvial soils, sunny days, low rainfall and wide temperature range. The combination of cool climate and chalky soils gives us wines with great structure and delicious acidity.
“The wine matured in concrete egg for approximately one year. It has the juiciness and approachability of the grape and a fruit-driven profile with a little earthy touch” - 90 pts, Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 30/12/16
“A red with lots of ripe and juicy fruit character. Dried strawberry. Full and flavourful. Fruity style” - 90pts, James Suckling 20/05/16more ↓ less ↑
