Arturo Stocchetti runs this very small but efficient cellar in the history centre of Soave. The Company owns around 12 hectares of vineyards in the historic "Classico" area of Soave. The contained size of the vineyards means that Arturo is able to take the utmost care of his vines at every stage of production, tansforming the process into a true labour of love. The Castello di Soave Classico is a fresh and vibrant wine, archetypal for the region. This Tre Bicchieri Award winning company produces around 120,000 bottles among them Soave Classico, Single Vineyards, and a delicious sticky Recioto. This wine is made with Garganega (90%) and Trebbiano di Soave grapes grown in the Soave Classico district. This Soave is straw colored with greenish hues. Its aroma is intense, delicate and floral (acacia and cherry blossoms); on the palate, the wine is well-balanced, dry, round and soft, with good supporting acidity. The finish is long and velvety, with characteristic toasted almond notes in the finish. Served slightly chilled, Soave Classico is ideal with hors - d’oeuvre and delicate pasta courses, as well as versatile wine with fish and white meat courses as well.
