Hunawihr, one of the leading cooperatives in Alsace, makes exceptional Riesling from this well known Grand Cru site. Rosacker was first mentioned in 1483 and has built up a fine reputation for Riesling, its calcerous and marly-clay soil is rich in magnesium and produces Riesling of real depth and finesse. They don't produce this wine every year but if you have tried the delicious 2000 vintage you are sure to enjoy the slightly fresher tasting 2002. Riesling doesn't get much better than this at the price.
