Bourgogne Haute-Cotes de Beaune 2003
The red wines of the Hautes-Côtes, full of life and energy, are fruity and smooth in the mouth. The pinot noir grapes used to make this wine are picked about 2 months early to give the wine a clean, fresh yet full bodied taste with toasted bread aromas. This wine is best drunk young although it will age for at least 6 years. It has all the characteristics of quality Burgundy without the price tag. Great with grilled meats, especially barbeques, and also good with lighter cheeses.
