Cotes de Bourg Tradition 2004
Chateau Nodoz is one of the top estates in the Cotes de Bourg, which is an area just across the Gironde estuary from Margaux in the Medoc and is an excellent hunting ground for good value claret. The blend is made up of 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc creating a full bodied, fruit driven style of Bordeaux that drinks well without too much age. Concentrated nose combining blackcurrant fruit and hints of cherry. A powerful and balanced palate with non-aggressive tannins. Blackberry, cherry and plum flavours all coming through.
