Malbec Reserve 2003
Jean Rivier has two vineyards, La Rama Caida and Casas Viejas, both located in Mendoza province where soil conditions are sandy with moderate depth and very favourable for growing grapes. The climate has semi-arid characteristics with warm summers and wide variations between day and night temperatures. There are long hours of sun during most of the year and the humidity is low making it the perfect environment for wine making. Intense ruby-red colour with aromas of red fruits and coffee. Powerful structure on the palate, with excellent integration between the wood of the oak, the tannins and the fruits. This wine is full of character with a long, smooth finish. An excellent wine with many red meat dishes or fine on its own.
