Sourced from a mix of Zinfandel grown in Lodi and Paso Robles, the grapes were crushed and fermented at J Lohr's Paso Robles winery, followed by eighteen months of barrel aging. The stylistic goal of Painter Bridge Zinfandel is to emphasize the tremendous red fruit characters of the Zinfandel grape without overpowering the delicacy of the fruit with oak.  The wine is inky purple in colour with youthful bright red highlights.  It shows an enticing spicy red fruit nose and a jammy, brambly, medium bodied and soft palate. The finish is juicy and elegant with a smooth finish.  Pair it with pasta dishes, grilled meats, sausages, roasted vegetables and medium to full flavoured cheese.
