Phillippe Herard VMQ Sparkling Rose NV
Phillippe Herard Rose VMQ Sparkling NV
Two Champagne producers set up Herard in 1973, applying their expertise to create a high quality small bead sparkling wine, using the traditional method. It has good acidity and fruit as well as some autolysis character the wine is aged on the lees in the bottle for 9 months. The base wines principally come from the grapes Ugni Blanc, Bourboulenc and Chenin Blanc, together with some Chardonnay. This is a lovely fresh and zingy sparkling wine made by a Champagne producer using the traditional method. The only difference is they use grapes grown from outside the Champagne region and of course the price.
Easy drinking and great value it makes the ideal party wine.
