Valpolicella DOC 2005 Organic
The Pizzolato family has been working in the agricultural sector for more than five generations now, living in harmony with nature and the environment. The estate covers an area of 58 hectares (= 5800 acres), (56 hectares: wine and 2 hectares: fruits). The estate also collaborates with 5 other producers which contribute organic grapes grown on an area of 48 hectares. The estate is located in the rich and flourishing countryside in the north of Treviso, and the vineyards are situated on the plains and hillsides, in a D.O.C. (Denominazione di origine controllata) area. This wine has a ruby colour with a slight tendency toward garnet. Aromas of cherries lead to a light, slightly tannic feel in the mouth.
One of the lightest red wines from Italy, perfect with fish when slightly chilled and as this is an organic wine, the taste is a delightful surprise.
